Terms and Conditions

My focus as Wedding Celebrant Áine, is to deliver highly professional, outstanding and memorable ceremonies for all my clients. As part of my service, the below terms and conditions are in place to protect my clients by ensuring that there is a clear understanding of the expectations, by all parties.

Please read, sign and return a copy of your contract, and retain a copy for your records, as failure to do so may result in withdrawal of celebrancy services.

Wedding Ceremonies conducted by Wedding Celebrant Áine,  are not legally binding. It is your responsibility if you wish to make your union a legally recognised marriage.

Deposits are non-refundable, and full payment is required with cleared funds fourteen days before the ceremony date.

Wedding Celebrant Áine, reserves the right to retain any monies paid, should you choose to cancel your ceremony.  Any return of payments made to the Wedding Celebrant Áine, are at the discretion of Wedding Celebrant Áine.

Should the date of your ceremony change, Wedding Celebrant Áine, will endeavour to come to an agreement with you to move the ceremony to a date which suits us all.

You  agree to inform the Wedding Celebrant Áine,  of any changes to music, vows, readings/poems, unity ceremonies, participating children or adults, or anything affecting the ceremony, with reasonable notice of no less than two weeks before your ceremony date.

To ensure the best delivery of the wedding ceremony, the expectation is that the final version of the ceremony is agreed by the client no later than one week before the wedding ceremony.

Wedding Celebrant Áine, is not responsible for any accident or injury caused to anybody during any unity ceremonies, and these are performed with full acknowledgement of this by the client.

Any wine/mead/food/drink used during unity ceremonies is to be supplied by clients and not by Wedding Celebrant Áine, due to allergies or food intolerances.

It is the responsibility of the clients to seek and gain approval from their venue for unity ceremonies, in particular, unity candle ceremonies.

Travel costs are 0.45per mile on each journey after the first 20 miles, which are free. I am prepared to travel across the island of Ireland and abroad. Distances are measured from Galway City.

Wedding Celebrant Áine, will not be held responsible for lateness due to circumstances beyond her control, such as traffic, accidents and  extreme weather conditions. If venue/ceremony location is over a 100 miles, an overnight stay is suggested to prevent issues of lateness, due to traffic and the above.

Writing your perfect wedding  ceremony will take the completion of  Wedding Celebrant Áine, meetings (face to face or video call), and  emails, texts and messages. Clients are to respond to Wedding Celebrant Áine’s request for information within a reasonable timescale, or the timescale given, and failure to do this can result in withdrawal of celebrancy services, and the retaining of any money paid.

The client must sign a GDPR consent form, to enable Wedding Celebrant Áine to collect, process, keep and store  personal data only in order to make contact, via email, text message, telephone or post, in line with EU GDPR legislation. Data will only be held for the duration of our contract.

Wedding Celebrant Áine reserves the right to leave the ceremony venue/location after one hour if clients do not attend, or keep her informed of reasons for lateness / non-attendance.

In the highly unlikely event the Wedding Celebrant Áine is unable to deliver the wedding ceremony, due to unforeseen circumstances, she will arrange for a fully trained celebrant to deliver the ceremony in her place.

Wedding Celebrant Áine is happy for any photos in which she appears, to be posted on social media.

Clients agree to images of the ceremony or pictures of any elements being shared via social media or used for informative/promotional purposes via full written permission by the photographer or owner of the images used.  

Any objections regarding the use of images of the ceremony, should be given in writing to Wedding Celebrant Áine, who will respect and adhere to such requests.
